Between June 18 and 22, 2025, the Arena BRB Mané Garrincha in Brasília once again became a giant anthill: thousands of attendees, network cables everywhere, and the energy of people coding through the night. In the middle of it all, DW Corp, together with the Software Craftsmanship Community Brasília (SCCB), took on a major challenge: leading an entire content track at CPBR17.
This was not a standalone talk. It was an end-to-end program designed to take attendees from their first line of code to discussions about architecture, security, and careers.
Who led the track
The community that DW Corp helps maintain handled the curation and many of the sessions. At the forefront, Danrley Pereira, SCCB leader and software engineering consultant, shared the stage with people such as Polyana Cunha, Gabriel Faria, Aulus Diniz, Lucas Dórea, Joseph Felipe, Pedro Druck, and other guests. Many of them came through the company’s own training program — and returned as speakers.
From AI prototyping to web security
The topics covered a range that rarely appears together on the same stage:
- Error-Proof Vibe Coding (Danrley Pereira and Lucas Dórea) showed how to build prototypes quickly with Claude Code, saving tokens, reducing energy impact, and maintaining control over the generated code.
- Code with Soul: Awaken the Craftsman in You brought Software Craftsmanship to the forefront — TDD, XP, and mentoring as ways to raise quality without losing agility.
- How Not to Be Caught Off Guard (Danrley and Pedro Druck) got straight to the point about security: OWASP Top 10, OAuth2, JWT, and practical examples in React and Flask.
- Demystifying C (Danrley, Gabriel Oliveira Faria, and Polyana Cunha) delved into the fundamentals: manual memory management, allocation, and the details that make a difference.
- Demystifying Clean Architecture (Gabriel Faria and Polyana Cunha) brought structure to the subject: layers, dependency flow, and testable, scalable projects.
- From Bugs to Bots (Aulus Diniz, Joseph Felipe, and Lucas Dórea) discussed how AI is changing software quality, from testing to documentation.
Panels, agile practices, and entrepreneurship
In addition to the technical workshops, the track made room for genuine conversation. Agile Methodology: Is It Something You Can Eat? demystified the Agile Manifesto; Startups — Pivot or Persevere? became an open debate about entrepreneurship, with the audience taking part; and Crossed Perspectives: Dev, QA, and Management brought different roles together to talk about Scrum, communication, backlogs, and — something rarely addressed on these stages — team mental health.
Why do it
Taking responsibility for an entire stage is a lot of work. So why do it? Because it brings together three things DW Corp takes seriously: community, education, and credibility. The company believes that sharing knowledge is the most honest way to build relationships — and Campus Party is the perfect place for it, with an audience eager to learn and create.
What remains
CPBR17 is over, but the track left its mark: new attendees discovered Software Craftsmanship, people from the community made their stage debut, and SCCB strengthened its role in training software craftsmen in Brasília.
